Ford Ranger (1998 – 2003) Fuse Box Location & Diagram

This Ford Ranger Fuse Box Diagram & Location User Guide (1998–2003) provides clear diagrams and exact fuse box positions. It helps owners easily locate, identify, and replace fuses in both the cabin and engine compartment for smooth electrical troubleshooting.

Fuses

If electrical components in the vehicle are not working, a fuse may have blown. Blown fuses are identified by a broken wire within the fuse. Check the appropriate fuses before replacing any electrical components.  Always replace a fuse with one that has the specified amperage rating. Using a fuse with a higher amperage rating can cause severe wire damage and could start a fire.

The fuse panel is located on the left hand side of the instrument panel facing the driver’s side door. Pull the panel cover outward to access the fuses.

Engine Compartment Fuse Box
Ford Ranger (1998 – 2003) fig-2

The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment near the battery. The power distribution box contains
high-current fuses that protect your vehicle’s main electrical systems from overloads.
